Five Guys Burgers & Fries is a simple app that allows you to schedule the purchase of items in advance. You must log in through their app and don’t have the option of using Facebook or Google, which I found to be time consuming.
When I opened the Five Guys Burgers & Fries app it immediately asked me for my zip code and gave me the options of getting directions or ordering from the store that I selected. One of the first items I noticed when ordering is that the app asked me if my order was for now or later. I really appreciated the option of scheduling my order later. I often schedule my pizza orders in advance, but this isn’t anything that I have seen on a fast food app before, so I was pleased to see it as an option on this app.
You must have an account to order online and you actually have to create an account with Five Guys (as opposed to logging in with your Facebook or Google account). I found this a little tedious and time consuming. There is a social tab that makes it easy to like Five Guys on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, find them on Google, or join them on Instagram. I just wish there was an option of logging in through any of these social media avenues.
I liked the fact that the app gives you the option of seeing your favorite items and recent orders. I think this is a time saving option (but you have to be logged in to your account to see this information). I also appreciated the feedback button. You can give general feedback, feedback about your specific order, or your thoughts on their app.
Menu information gives you nutrition information regarding items but not ingredients, allergens, or price. The nutrition screen looks like a screen shot from a label on the back of a box you might buy at the supermarket and to me felt a little disconnected from the company and their brand.
