Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches is a fast food chain serving submarine and club sandwiches. Founded by Jimmy John Liautaud in 1983, the first shop opened in a garage in Charleston, Illinois. After expanding to a couple of other locations, the business was franchised in 1993. Today, the company operates over 1,900 locations in the US. This makes it the third-largest sandwich chain by number of outlets world-wide behind Subway and Quiznos, and the second-largest in the United States.
The menu consists of 8-inch sub sandwiches, club sandwiches, and the 16-inch “J.J. Gargantuan”. Side items include several flavors of potato chips and cookies. Customers value Jimmy John’s for their fast service and delivery. Prices are a little higher than at main competitor Subway.
